Looking for lock outs for 35 spline dodge 60. It is for a friend and he says chey lockouts are diffrent. Anyone know about these fronts. He is wanting to change from 30 spline outer to 35 and has found everything but the lockouts and is not crazy about putting slugs in.
thanks
From what I hear - it cannot be done with the Dodge front outers - you have to swap to Chevy outers and then you can get 35 spline internal style lockouts. The Dodge's use external lockouts - and I don't know of anyone that makes 35 spline ones.

there is a rumor of an elusive 35 spline external bolt on style that was made long ago for dana 70's though I have never seen any, my advice run drive flanges

I have seen some later model (pre-94 though) Dodge 60's running internal lockouts. Most run external from what I've seen.
My 35 spline slugs cost about 60 bucks and lots of time. I bought some used side gears and turned the outsides down on the lathe. Picked up some 1" thick plate and with lots of lathe time the side gears fit inside. Welded them up and then had a friend punch the holes and spotface for washers. I'm not running clips on the stubs but probably will soon to keep the seals sealing.
I went this way because the only lockout hubs I could find for it were original Selectros at about 200 a pop from the dealer, 30 spline of course. And it would have been 300 or more to get the Chevy wheel hubs, plus 35 spline lockouts.
Time will tell how the 8 Gr.8 3/8 bolts per side hold up, but if they ever break there's room to go 7/16 bolts.
Sounds similar to my plans - I have the external style 30 spline drive flanges I will be suing (with a front ARB) and was thinking if I ever want to go 35 spline I would take some side gears and have them machined make some drive flanges.
BTW - the bolts should not be seeing a side load - the bolts are only supplying clamping forces, all load should be on the opposing faces of the hub and drive flange.

Make or buy some drive flanges. I broke 4 hubs in one month and that was not even hard wheeling.:roxy:
if they are internal then they are same as chev
