I just found an 87 4runner turbo with all digital dash and all it needs is a computer. is there a company out there that sells them or a place to repair them? this guy only wants 300 for it.

take yo shit to the wanted section and ask for a Computer for a 22rte. BTW nice find.

I've run mine on a regular 22RE computer from the same year....

Yes, similar situation... purchased a non-running Turbo truck, I had a plain 22RE computer lying in the garage - all things pointed towards the 22RTE ECU being bad, dropped in the plain RE, it fired right up, drove it up and down the street a few times - though never got into any serious boost. I then found an RTE unit as I'm sure the RE runs more timing.

The fuel curves must(?) be tuned with the AFM and injector size.
