Is there a website or something that can give me detailed directions on replacing a cv axle on a 96 shortbed chevy truck with a 305 and 4in lift kit on it thanks

Have you even looked at it? Very easy job. Jack up he truck and unbolt the lower shock mount then undo the 6 bolts on the inner flange and the nut under the hub cap. Reverse to install.

Super easy job!
