View Full Version : Shops in the Southeast

Since we've got this great new section just for us folks in the Southeast, why not take a minute and post the names, addresses, and phone numbers of 4X4 shops (and related businesses) in the southeast? Before you break at Tellico, why not visit here and get the contact info for Smoky Mountain Off Road? Before you bust a weld yoke at Hard Rock ORV Park, jot down the number of Advanced Driveline. You get the idea.

If the shop has a specialty (like only builds jeeps), post that up too. This might turn into a great resource for people planning trips around the southeast so that they will have the resources to find help in a pinch in an unfamiliar area.

And let's leave the bashing out of it. Nobody cares that JimmyJoeBob's Bait Shop, Adult Novelties, and Tube Bumper Factory Outlet screwed you in a trade on a used locker ten years ago when they just need to replace an axle shaft to salvage your wheeling vacation.

I'll start with the two that I used as examples.

Smoky Mountain Offroad & Custom Center.
828.837.7707
smokymountainoffroad.com

I don't have an address for them, just their business card from when they hooked up some of our club members who were broke at Tellico.

&

Advance Driveline
5512 Carder Rd.
Orlando, FL
407.299.1100

George and crew build, repair, and sell anything between the transfer case and the wheel surface. (They deal in driveshafts, diffs, and axles--no trannies, transfer cases, or engines.) Their bread and butter is commercial trucks but they take good care of off roaders, drag racers, and mud truck guys too.

If you ever figure out how to break a shaft in Orlando, look them up.

As noted Blue Torch is located in the southeast. We are in the process of opening a shop in Birmingham, Alabama. I have not made an official press release on this matter yet. I will note that we closed on our new building in Birmingham, AL. It is going to be the Blue Torch FabWorks, Inc super center. LOL. It is a 33,000 sq ft building located close to downtown Bham on I-59. The building is right off of the interstate and easy to find. We are shooting to be open for business within the next couple of months and have a Grand opening / open house sometime around the end of October. I will post the address and telephone numbers later on as things develop.

COMING SOON TO BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA

We look forward to serving the Bham and surrounding areas.

I'm new to the Pensacola-Florabama area and am looking for a recommendation for a shop or individual to do some welding/fabwork for a Tacoma SAS. Prefereably someone who has experience with this vehicle. Any suggestions?
