Can anyone tell me how i would tell the diference between soft doors for the CJ7, YJ and TJ? They all look the same, but obviously they wont interchange will they? Ive got a set of Bestop doors and uppers but dont know what they go to.

yj and tj look pretty much the same but are shaped a little different. ..... late cj and yj ARE the same early cj has the lever style latch instead of the paddle style .... Hell send em to me and I'll let ya know which of my jeeps They fit :D

So the TJ and YJ doors wont interchange, but the CJ and YJs will?

Yes, you can interchange CJ and YJ doors, but you need to change the latch, not hard at all.

TJ doors will fit, it'll just take some converting, IE BFT, Sawzall ect :)

factory or aftermarket soft doors? hard top or soft top? if it's a soft top, factory or aftermarket?

I ask because those could make a difference in which doors would fit.

I'm not sure about the CJ's, but on the YJ's, the factory soft top requires the upper rear corner of the door to be squared off, where the TJ soft top requires a rounded corner.

They are Bestop doors, and they came with part of a soft top. Ill have to take them over to my friends place and see if they fit on his YJ, i guess that will narrow it down a little.

I run CJ bestop full soft doors on my TJ w/ a bikini top and it's fine. Only problem is the handles.
