I have a '91 YJ with a Dana 300 flipped for driver drop. I used 300 since it has the 4:1 gears installed. I used a Novak flip ring and it mounted up fine however the D.D. flipped Dana 300 twin sticks wont work. The AX15 manual tranny case gets in the way of the shift hardware. I am told this is not an issue with auto trannies. I tried to shorten the shifter rod where it mounts to the case and it still wont work. Any ideas? I looked into cable shifters by Northwest fab, but they say they don't work on flipped Dana 300's. I know someone has done this before. Please help.

I know mine isn't flipped but I made my own bracket off the t-case for cable shifters. might shed an idea of what you're looking for. Its a 300 in a TJ with scout axles and the shifters come up through the center council in the factory location. You may have to cut the original shifter bracket off for your application. I got my cables ordered from here:

Yeah I have the D.D. flipped Dana 300 twin stick and they dont work when T-case is mounted to AX-15 manual tranny. My buddy used them on his auto and they work fine. I think I will have to fab up something myself or check out cable shifters. I just dont think I will have the clearance for the cable shifters and my yoke. I am also checking out the Northwest offroad flip kit. It's pricey but they swear it will work for me.

Don't you get new shift rails when you flip them? If so cables should work out for you, they would then be on top of the output. Do the old google search on pirate for cable shifters, at least thats how I got the idea for mine.

No I did not get new shift rails, just the stock ones. I just used a Novak flip ring and the D.D. flipped twin sticks. The downeast kit comes with new ones. It cost $550 plus shipping and it looks pretty much turn key. Do you remember about how much $ you have in your cable shifters?

It was $70 ish dollars for the 2 cables. They sell all the ends you could need too, might be able to help, I dunno.
