Are these any good? Thinking anout using it on the 4.3L. It's only $59 at Summit.

What about DynoMax mufflers?

From What I understand the catco has a raspy sound to it. My buddy put one on his BMW, and the difference is noticiable, but the muffler is blown out, so it is even worse. I have also heard they arent built the best. I have also heard Random Technologies is the best flowing, but even that company has said that the Catsound cat is the best cat for a person on a budget. I just had a catsound and magnaflow muffler put on my ram on thursday, and I am impressed. I also have a catsound on the volvo I am selling, once again, very pleased with the results as a much better flow, and in my opinion only about 2-5% louder than stock, which to me is more than acceptiable.

I also have dynomax mufflers on my old power wagon, but dont have enough experence with them, but do have to say, if I wanted a quality perfoamance muffler that didnt make alot of noise, the dynomax super turbo woudl be it (thus what is on my power wagon)

My brother has a catco cat on his 93 firebird. It makes a noticable power increase and makes the exhaust more throtty.

Dynomax mufflers are ok. I'd get a flowmaster or edelbrock. They are more durable and sound better.:flipoff2: :D

Check into "Random Technologies" Catylitic converters. Really high quality stuff, and also a noticable gain. I have one on my Prelude

I recently replaced the stock muffler and cat on my 90 GMC 3500 with a Catco and a Flowmaster. I am vary happy with it, got a bit more power and it sounds killer:D The cat is barely more than a cherry bomb.

i jsut got a fresh exhaust from the headers(manifold downpipe) back including the cat for $140. its tucked wayyyy up in the frame and sounds nice and quiet. get youre truck out here, the guy bends tubing for me now too...hes no dumbass rookie...
