: Just thought all of you might want to know about this
scoutkid 06-01-2002, 10:52 PM Check these links, they speak for themselves.
actually, the links have been taken down. I think the point was made.
thanks

scoutkid 06-01-2002, 11:04 PM says he is using the board to tear itself down, the only reason that is works is because the site itself doesn't have some sort of protection, which i don't think it should need to have. Im not a hacker, so i don't really understand all the jargon. Something about having html enabled? Does that sound right to anyone?
Erik D_lux 06-01-2002, 11:06 PM This is bullshit!:mad3: Why dosent Honda man mind his own business. Is there a way to track this guy down?

Good thing he got one of our better threads
scoutkid 06-01-2002, 11:12 PM hehe, point still remains though, and btw, is can anyone see past honda mans post on the swamper sx's thread?? Bottom of second page?
scoutkid 06-01-2002, 11:15 PM daniel, that just confused the hell outa me, what are you talkin about??
scoutkid 06-01-2002, 11:23 PM its not that he has the LAST post, in fact he doesn't. Lots of people have posted after him, you just can't scroll down that far. And notice that you can't hit the edit or delete buttons oh HIS post, so the only way to remove it is to remove the whole thread. And while you look at that page in particular, it is sitting there trying to reload itself and get past the block in the thread, causing a real backup.
scoutkid 06-02-2002, 12:07 AM it seems the more people i talk to, the more varied the results are. Internet Explorer is the one with a big problem, while netscape users aren't having a problem. Don't know if this helps.
jdjanda 06-02-2002, 12:27 AM You buddy is a sly guy, needs his ass kicked.
In his post he calls an invalid thread to a target frame that does not exist. Netscape does not support the tag, IE must.
Just need a Mod to use netscape and erase the text in his post.
Here is a portion of the code he entered:
***iframe Src="http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=58016&perpage=39&pagenumber=2" name="myiframe" scrolling=auto width=10 height=10 frameborder ***
scoutkid 06-02-2002, 12:35 AM surreee, sounds good to me! Is there any way to get rid of just his post, or are we hosed?
Lance 06-02-2002, 02:26 AM Ohhhhh woooooooooooowwwwww! I'm so fawking impressed! Little Honda FAG thinks he's a god damn hacker! Of course he doesn't know the first fawking thing about hacking.... The little queer thinks that posting an HTML tag in a post is going to bring down this server?:laughing::laughing:
Please, douche bag..... It will take a little more than that.
I wonder what your Sys Admin at http://www.mines.edu would have to say about all of this? Or maybe your ISP AT&T?
Gee scouter, do you think I am that fucking stupid? You are the same :rainbow: cum guzzler, and if you continue to come to my website and cause problems, you WILL be reported to the proper authorities. If you think you are the first pimple faced dumb fuck to fuck with me, you are SADLY mistaken. BRING IT...... :skull:
Erik D_lux 06-02-2002, 03:11 AM
Jeepsarecool 06-02-2002, 08:46 AM First off this is the last time i'll be visiting your board (your all probably happy about that) so don't bother posting anything you want me to see.
Just to clarify all i did was imbed an html tag with an iframe (like a frame you can put anywhere in a page) that would load the page you were viewing from.. nothing really amazing. If you really wanted to keep it from hapenin or fix it you could just disable HTML in posts.... but you probably already knew that since your moderators and all right? Any decent bullitin board supports immages and just about everything people need to write messages... there isn't any reason to have html enabled, and obviously with what you can do with html now there are lots of issues that arise.
Lance: It's nice that you assume i'm some l33t haxor punk kid... I didn't come on here and see your sweet avatar and say that you were some white trash punk who got his hands on a truck and decided to lift it and throw big tires on it, endangering peoples lives on the road and harming the enviroment just so you can build up your ego and manhood (maybe to make up for lacking something) now did i? I know you probably know your shit... as do i. My wealth of computer knowledge is probably right where you 4x4 knowledge is. There are lots of ways you can screw with a board and be an ass... i just chose to do a rather simple method on one very insightfull (sarcastically) post. Trust me... A quick little harmfull html post is about the least you can do (other than spaming and post whoring, but i'd assume someone with as many posts as you would know all about that)
Also just a quick lesson for you... The ISP is the one who provides the 'net. The "system admin" as you put it is just responsible for hosting the email address (in my case). People who provide email don't really give a damn what you do... do you honestly think Yahoo and Hotmail can do anything if people who have email address's do something on the web? The person who takes charge of that is the ISP... and ATT@home switched over to ATTBI if you didn't hear... anyways... if that doesn't make sense to you let me know and i'll give you the email address of one of my good friends (a sys admin at mines.edu) so he can explain it to you better. There is also nothing wrong with posting HTML on a message board when HTML is enabled. HTML is harmless, but fun, i could of thrown some java applets i've writen in there for all your enjoyment.
I've spent my computer career as a software guy, not a hacker. So i hardly consider myself one. Though i would recomend to you to look up the true definiton of a Hacker... not the mainstreem movie based one. Educated people like to know the definition of words they use.
If you want to continue this discussion IM me at gizmo115... otherwise have a good life. Good luck with your 'rigs' and i hope they close more trails to protect the Enviroment
Hondaman
Monkeyboy 06-02-2002, 08:55 AM What a fawking screwball!!!
Lance 06-02-2002, 09:38 AM Wow, thanks for the lesson in networking 101. I feel much smarter now.
One more post from you and will report you to ATTBI as a breach of user agreement. If you think I'm full of it, or that they won't do anything, try me. I have delt with many assholes like yourself in my day, and you aren't the first asshole that thinks he's a genious supah hackah. Who are you trying to impress here? Yes, I have HTML enabled because it has legitimate uses for the responsible people of this board. But if jackoffs like yourself with clearly nothing better to do than trying to be the WANNABE hacker you are, then I will probably have to disable it in the future. Yes, you are in textbook terms a WANNABE hacker. A hacker of course can be defined in different ways, but one definition of course can be defined as someone who is trying to disrupt the day-to-day use/flow of a computer system/server. You have tried to do that with your cute little iframe. So you see, ATTBI, your ISP (see you were dumb enough to be using your SCHOOL (or maybe your employers?) mines.edu email address before, which Im sure the MINES.EDU admin would like to know that you are using their email for malicious use) has a user agreement in place. Ever read it? It states that any malicious use with their Internet connection is grounds for terminiation of service. So if you'd like me to email them your IP address and pertinent information, I will. I've done it before, and I most certainly would be happy to do it again to a granola eating tofu farting :rainbow: like yourself. You have no business here, and I am surely not impressed by your abilities. So go back to your pathetic existence and leave us alone. Last warning.
