I was bored today and looking through my rancho catalog, and noticed that Rancho makes some nice offset toyota rear truck springs with a 160 lb rate. This would work perfectly for my sammi, as I must keep it road legal, and don't have the skills or cash to bob it and tube it. These are offset 20/27 and have 4 leaves. I searched and couldn't find anyone else who had thought of these. This would be perfect to bring the samurais wheelbase up while retaining stock body and frame (other than new spring hangers and sawzall work). So what do you guys think? do the shortside of each spring pointing to each end to endup with roughly 90" wb (130" total length - 20*2). Am I harebrained? Is this a recipe for disaster? This thing needs lift ASAP, as my rock garden opened yesterday and the zuk is sadly inadequate in its current state.

Those will work good. But will cost some $$$.
Find some 79-88 rear springs off a toyota truck and put them in. You have have to add a leaf or two. I have some 86's in the front of my toy. I made a 6 leaf pack and they flex great. You could pick a set up for almost nothing. Just some thing else to think about.

Rancho springs tend to be firm, could still work for you though.

Another option might be the Mazda pickup springs. I have a few Toyota buds that run the Mazda springs on their Toys. The Mazdas are longer and provide a bit more lift..... reportedly without an increase in spring rate.

in terms of softness, the springs are 100 lb lighter spring rate than the zuk springs rancho sells. just so everyone knows.

I'd used a set of built up stock rear leafs 6 leafs work awesome in my 4runner.
