I have an 05 TJ automatic without cruise control. I have encoutered a problem where when I hit the throttle in either forward or reverse the motor pulsates and will continue pulsating until I put it in park. It has even killed the motor. There is no CHECK ENGINE light or movement of the throttle cable at the throttle body. I have checked all the vacuum lines. I have read that it could be my TPS. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Check ya TPS with a volt meter. Key on, not running. It will read roughly .3V -to- 4.9V at open throttle.
