: Welcome HUMMER owners! Please check in here!
steveh 05-24-2007, 08:57 PM Glad to see Hummer owners get a forum. I have had the pleasure of wheeling with serveral on the Con, and also fully appreciate Hummer's donations and grants to the RTF and FOTR to help keep the con open.
Look forward to the continued support this year on the con on FOTR Workdays!!
Way to step up to plate and help keep trails open for all to use and enjoy

Welcome.
ScottBowden 05-25-2007, 10:56 AM Scott Bowden here,
I have 2003 and 2004 H2 rolling billboards. Will hopefully get another H2 this summer before the 2008 V8 H3 comes out.
The trails are so tight around here to really do heavy offroad without doing body damage.
OldYelr 05-25-2007, 11:33 AM Howdy yall! Been an H1 owner for a few now. Also have a '95 YJ and looking to acquire a hardcore rig. Body damage is expensive on an H1!
Sewie 05-25-2007, 06:54 PM So is this where we post our Show 'n Shine pics? :p
A Hummer section on Pirate huh? Who woulda thunk it? Thanks to Steve and the rest of the PBB crew. This is way cool.

I am new to this community. I do not own a hummer now but thinking about having one soon. I am a great fan of Hummer. One of my friend has one and I love to drive it. He is lazy enough to drive and always asks me to drive which I enjoy always. It is something that I keep looking for the whole day.

MUTAINT 01-10-2010, 10:56 PM Hello, New to Pirate not to HUMMER.
We have 2 2008 H3 Alphas. Mr. Black (since 08) and Mr. Orange (Solar Flare new to us as of Dec 09). Removing all the mods off of mr. Black and swapping them on to Mr. Orange. We have to trun Mr. Black in at the end of the month. We have wheeled pretty much everything Michigan has to offer and love it! Someday we hope to make it to Moab!

Welcome aboard, Mike!

Mike
discotech 02-18-2010, 01:37 PM Yeah, I'm a Rover guy; however, do to a 6x rollover (some asshole ran me off the road) I no longer have a Rover. I bought an H2 for my wife while I source a decent Disco. I've got a few questions for anyone who can answer them. First, I'm not all that familiar with GMs, what is the type of axle on the rear and the equivalent on the front? Second, what is the largest tire that can be fitted to the H2s stock that the axles can support off-road? And, finally, I guess, what are some of the issues that arise with these things after 58,000 miles (thats were I'm at now)? Thanks in advance for any help and also for the warm welcome.
Mike
boom harvey 02-19-2010, 08:22 AM Make sure that the 48k service was done the the H2. Big thing with these miles is the seal between the transfer case and transmision (leaks trans fluid to transfer case and burns up both transmission and transfer case. Make sure that the fluids are current and in good condition. The truck is standard with 35" tires and you can go to at least 37" without to much of an issue, just don't go wide or you will rub. Axles will handle the tires but watch your trans (maybe add extra cooler) and transfer case.
AlisoH3 04-17-2010, 07:50 PM Hi everyone,
I usually lurk on other forums, but thought I'd stop by and say hello. I drive a 2008 H3 Alpha Adventure and love it!
Fit4Duty 06-04-2010, 06:55 PM Hey All,
I am new to Pirate, not new to wheelin my H3. I have a 2008 Alpha Adventure. Been wheelin it pretty hard over the past two years. Murdered 2 transfer cases, 3 front differentials, 2 front differential bushings, 1 leaf spring and 1 rack. Still love the H3 though.

All over AZ. Last summer we did a week in Moab and Canyonlands NP. We are starting early planning to do the Rubicon sometime next summer.
But I'll have to do some modifications before then. It seems to me that I read somewhere about someone that has thier H3 setup with SOA and is also working on maybe a Dana 44 for the front. Now those are a couple things that I think I will need to get done before next summer.

Jim in Alaska 06-20-2010, 09:16 AM Hello from Alaska.
I made the mistake of buying one of these for my wife last year. She has an 06 with I5 and auto, basically stock. This is the 2nd one.......
An o6 with 4 inch rancho lift, 37 inch tires and manual 5 sp tranny.
Good thing its a standard with the 37's. I can keep the revs in the power band with the little I5. It does great off road in low range, just throws mud all over itself. After the arb bumper, winch and snorkel mods it will be time for some fender flares.
Regards,
Jim

Ha!I loved that trail - I'm gonna have to do it again when the weather is better.
welcome!
napalm 10-10-2010, 09:31 AM Hi all from Myrtle Beach SC, guess I need to finally speak up being it's been over two years since joining, lol. Better late then never, and time for a second post :D. Had to give a shout to the CHOmies (beachbum here). Love those pics JR3T, and the videos of it, sweet T brother. Bebe, not much I can say about you're 3 except WOW, and really enjoying the build so far. Would love to head out West in the next year or three, lol, you guys/gals have all the great spots to tear up stuff. Hope to as least hit up RC with one of the outings sometime in the next few months though, soon as I get everything worked out. Still have a few little things to do. Getting ready to install the 2nd/last run of the Trail Duty low profile shock mount in the next week or two. Also, schools back in full swing so have to work out trips with kids schedules during the winter months, lol. They miss one day and it's like a week of what we did back in the day, lol. Hope to see some of you on the trail sometime.
Here's an, older just after getting the Rancho lift, pic or so you guys over on CHO have probably already seen. Will have to get some dirty one's up when I can (would be sooner if I could find my camera memory card that my T ate, had a few on there, one of those extra goodies the next owner will find, lol). Nothing major, not much in the way of hardcore or even semihardcore around the beach area except mud/sand and swamp, uuuuh I'm not in Florida am I, lol.

Wow, that's a nice H3T - you've made short work of a few nice upgrades!!!
Welcome! I hope we do get to wheel together soon! Maybe you can head out to Black Sheep week next spring? I should be done with the project by then.
CBphoto 11-09-2010, 09:52 PM Hey Bebe. Here are some pics.
Wow, Neo's getting more practiced bebe! No more bumper monkey!
Great job JR3T...been there, seen the look on bebe's face, wouldn't touch it.:)
Time to go back out West soon....
I got a new H3T Alpha this year (sold my oldest kid the green H3), looks like we got a corner on new posts.
Not too many wheelin' pics yet, I'm still breaking her in...

HummerNewbie 12-13-2010, 03:05 PM Guess I have never posted in this thread so here is an intro and a few pics. Some of you know me as Mark over on HXC and I am on my second H3. Previously had an '06 Adventure and am almost at the 2 year mark with my '09 Alpha and at this point don't plan on ever getting rid of it even after getting a new DD in a few years. Anyway, here are a few pics...

M22KLARS 12-13-2010, 03:09 PM Hey everybody! I'm seeing some familiar faces here! :) Some may know me some may not. I'm Dan. I am a early build '06 H3 Adventure owner with enough mods to keep me moving for the moment. :D
Bro of 3 12-13-2010, 05:48 PM Well I finally made it over here. I am on some other forums and just never got around to posting here. I have had an h3 ,H2 and now an H1. I have wheeled with several people on this forum. Hope to meet more of you in Moab in April.
Foregone_Icon 12-13-2010, 11:05 PM Hey CHOmies...it's HA_VT. I decided on a new username for this site. Doubt I'll post much here, but you never know. Ok...cool. I'm gonna hop back on CHO now. :D

Scarsman 12-15-2010, 10:26 PM Hi all! I am new here. I am on a couple other sites, mostly CHO now. Joined here when Bebe posted up over there about the give away thing the other night. It was worth it too, 'cause I won an in cab winch control panel! :cookie:
Anyway, we've had our H2 for about 6 months now, and I don't think we could have any other vehicle now. It is a 2005, Stealth Gray with ebony interior. It had 21,000 miles on it when we got it.
I am working on removing all the chrome a bit at a time. So far I have bed linered the roof rails, side mirror caps, and a set of stock wheels. I swapped the chrome hood handles and latches for black ones with a dealer. I am going to LineX the grill this summer.
I upgraded the tie rods to Kryptonites from the DMax Store. The next mods on my list are a roof rack and winch. I am going to build the roof rack myself, and I have some ideas for a winch mount. Eventually I will build a full front bumper and brush guard. Probably a rear bumper, too. Some day anyway.
Here are some pics:
Here the day we got it

Here after a day on the trails. There was a water hole. Can you guess how deep it was? :D:

ReconH3 12-27-2010, 04:58 PM I joined this forum thanks to Bebe. :) I'm the crazy owner of the solid axle/slant back H3. Here's a pic for those who don't know it.

Due to my crazy schedule, and the lack of dedication of some of the builder, I haven't had the chance to "play" with it yet :( It's taken way over a year to get it this far, and there are still many little things to iron out. I'll start putting the story of the whole build in parts, so you can see what it has taken to get it this far. Glad to be on this forum :)
praetorian 12-31-2010, 01:36 AM This thing is sweet! I'm pretty sure I saw it at the Off Road Evolution booth at the Pomona Offroad Expo.
