Well I have no power going to the Fuel Pump. Any ideas what it might be?

I ran a 12v wire to the pump and it worked :)

Anybody know where I can find the fuel pump relay on an 85?

I'm not sure about the relay location on your '85, but I bet it's in a fuse/relay center near the battery. If all else fails you could run new wiring&relay to your fuel pump.

I've got an 89 and had the same problem. I was only getting power to the fuel pump when the starter was cranking and would lose power when the key was in the normal running position. Spent hours tracing it. Come to find out my mass air flow sensor was gone. We read some wiring diagrams and found out that there was a wire from the mass air that sent a ground back to the fuel pump. I think the wire was green. So we stuck a test light into the wire plug and ground it to the body and it worked. Don't know if that helps but that what happened to mine.. hope you figure it out.

You may already know this, but the fuel pump won't run until the MAF detects air flowing thru the airbox. There is a connector in the engine compartment that you can jumper to override this.

I have been searching other posts and found that 4crawler had this picture.

I jumpered it but still no power to the fuel pump. The FSM talks about a Fuel Pump Relay but I cannot find it.

I can't remember what it says on it. It is about 6-8 above the computer.

its called circut open relay.
and the pump actuly only pumps when cranking, then continues once the engine fires. if you just turn the key to "on" the pump does not run.

I can swear the FSM had a picture with the fuel pump relay. Found the open circuit relay and it seems to be working correctly (clicks when I crank motor). Still no power to the fuel pump when cranking. Even with the jumpered wire. Keep blowing a 7.5 amp fuse (I think it said hazard) in the engine compartment so I must have something wired wrong :mad3:
