: Hardcore wheeling via Wentworth springs

I've heard of some pretty tough obstacles outside of Wentworth springs. Some waterfalls or dried up creek beds. I was wondering if anyone could get me some information on these. Specifically where they are and if they are on the designated route or if these guys are not "treading lightly" when they run them.

If they're the one's I thinking of, they're not on the Designated Trail list and are definately off the trail. There is still plenty of challanges on the route from Wentworth and Soup Bowl & Little Sluice will always get your blood pumping ;)

Hope you have a good trip.

Are the ones you are thinking of between Wentworth and where the rest of th Rubicon trail meet, or after the tie in to the rest of the trail? From what I have heard is there are some pretty good obstacles right past the wentworth springs campgrounds.

The spot's I'm thinking of are not far past the WWS Campground. With the current restrictions in place, anything off the main trail is off limits.

The trail itself has some pretty good ledges, right past wentworth is where it gets fun but from your avitar it's not exactly that tough..

Here is a picture of post pile. It is the main trail from WW going toward the slab's. There is some good wheeling trough here.

Here is me on that same line.
I was told this line was off the trail, after I did it.
Is that correct?
I only ask so I know not to do that line anymore.
Thanks.

those are some fun reefs and ledges to climb-over for sure. there is also a switch-back sort of trail that crosses that section arguably for others to bypass the steep climbs. so are they both 'the trail' or is it only the route straight up the boulder/reef sluice?

Randy, from the sounds of it, the ledges going into the main trail is what they're talking about. I guess those could be considered the "waterfalls". Different people always have another name for obstacles.

Seeing those pics kicked in some memories and thoughts of a Sami.:D Makes my blood pressure go up just looking at them.:mad3:

It takes about an hour or more to hit the trail from WW rather than Loon...

Cant wait till the dy-no-mite hits these too.:shaking:

Looks to me like you are about 2 feet from trail center. That IS the trail.

:shaking:yea, don't want to hear a bunch of whining for 3 hours just to get past one TINY obstacle.
Looks like there isn't a whole lot more than we already saw:confused:
