Hey Guys I got the ball roling again today, I found a 91 x cab swapped on to a 85 runner frame for 300 bucks. It is already set up for the motor and trany /tcase set up I got in the COW. It needs a littile work, mainly a few interior pieces and some finish work done to it.

My question Is how hard will it be to licence it with the whole cab frame swap? I want the x cab but If i cant licence it I wont buy it.It could be one bad ride and for the price I dont want to pass it up.

I did a search and didnt find anything I was looking for. I do live in CO. so I just need an Idea of what it is in you neck of the woods.

Thanks
Jeff

Call the DMV. I asked the same question of them when I did my x-tra cab swap (also in CO). To make a long story short I ended up just switching VIN plates because the process is involved. It is a long process with a bunch of paper work but not that difficult just time consuming. So if you want it doen right you can just be prepared for it to take a little while.

thanks Shake-n-bake, I will call Tomorow and see whats up. The guy has the title for the cab and for the frame so....

as far as the vin swap the runer body is long gone so that is out. I guess I will try the process and see what happens, I reall like the idea of the x cab REALLY short bed thing.

Once again, Thanks
Jeff

In Washington State its a HUGE pain in the ass........
I put a 81 f150 cab on my 80 Bronco, the cab was basically JUNK..
Anyway, I couldnt get a title for that pos cab for 3 years, so I just put a Bronco Shell Back on....
