......for my trailer:D

2" 1.20 wall DOM bent/welded/painted in about 2 hours (full hydro set-up on the bender). Makes getting my full width b!tch w/o crushing anything on the trailer very easy.

Hey BigDude, how wide is your Jeep, outside of tire to outside of tire? How wide is your trailer?

The reason I'm asking is, this winter I'm going with d60's and 38's on my YJ. I'm still debating on whether or not to cut the axles down. I'm not worried about it fitting on the trails, but I am worried about it fitting on the trailer.

TIA!!

I did the exact same thing to my trailor. My jeep is 86" wide and
the trailor was 82". Works great! Just drive the driver side tire up
the middle of the bars and the other side will clear.

Ok ok ok, so that set up allows you to drive up and over the OEM fenders ,,,Yes? Kinda just ride the rails? I Just bought a new trailer, that has the same problem.. long enough, 14K capacity, and wide enough, BUT because I bought a drop deck this time I was planning on making some sort of quick release for the fenders...But if this accomplishes the same thing, I'll do some bending and welding to make it right.. Much better than having to mess with the fenders every time I load the Bronco.

redbaron- My Jeep is about 84" wide and the trailer deck is 78".

rkcrawl- Hang-over is 2-3" per side. With the tires aired down they just wraps around everything and it's plenty stable. I took it around today and couldn't get it to slip off (I use 5 tie downs)

bronco78- Yep just cruise over the tube.

I actually like to take the tires over both sides instead of one because it points me to the sky:D Originally I was either going with angle iron or removable fenders. Then I thought of this. I think it looks much better then welded on angle iron, probably stronger than angle, and it's easier than removables.
