Well, not to many people actaully made it to Carnage today but it was a good time. Scooter was giving me a spot through some fun lines and I thought I would take a shot at the hard line that I haven't seen anyone make yet. Scooter told me I wouldn't make it but I gave it a shot and taco'd the tie rod. Thank god there was threads left where it snapped on one end and I could drive out. Thanks again Scooter for the trail repair help! I think I pulled something straightening out that tie rod though!

Hi Ron! Good to hear from you! Yeah, it was a good time, even with the breakage. Bound to happen. I just need to get to a pick and pull and stock up some spare parts. Anyway, just a good reason to now spend some dough on a heavy duty tie rod. Any suggestions?

carnage canyon is always fun! very few people make that line. you either have to be huge, or narrow and well built. mildly built stuff never goes up. especially when its wet.

Kenny,
If/when it's available the new Currie system should be hard to beat without going custom. I have their older weaker stuff on mine but it's going back for the new one. No charge even!
If you continue to play in places like Carnage Canyon, it won't be long before your drag link starts straightening out where it bends around the sway bar bracket. You'll know it when your steering wheel doesn't point straight for no apparent reason. You could cut and weld a support to it and get a Cherokee V8 tie rod from a junk yard. I think the Currie stuff is good but pricey.
