WILL IT WORK OR WILL IT JUST PUSH THE EXTRA FLUID BACK INTO THE MASTER CYLINDER??? Shake 'N' Bake 06-02-2002, 08:16 PM The slave cylinder itself is not adjustable but the rod going to the clutch pedal is and has the same effect in most cases. There are two jam nuts on the rod just loosen them and turn the rod until you reach your desired result. All it takes is a 12mm wrench and possibly a pair of pliers. 71RCKCRZR RYAN 06-02-2002, 09:58 PM yeah i know how to adjust them but mine is not adjustable......i was wondering if its not adjustable for a reason.....???:confused: hophoar 06-02-2002, 11:17 PM It'll do both, push the piston back into the slave cylinder and also give you more throw. I've added a allen headed cap screw onto the pushrod and then rounded it off where it sits into the clutch fork. John. Pappy 06-03-2002, 06:28 PM Yes, it's possible. I installed an adjustable slave on my 82 many moons ago. What you need is a slave from an earlier model 4x4 truck. Something like off a 1980.
