I'm in the process of a complete rebuild of my 1.6 before I drop it into my sami. I've been talking to the guy I have doing the machine work, and we have decided we would like to possibly get rid of the EGR system. We would remove it completely and put plates over the holes. Is this going to cause problems with the ECU throwing codes, and even if it does throw that code, is it going to hurt anything to just run it? Or will the ECU try and change things, and make it worse? Its a 1990 1.6.
