they're not tight enough then. I usually add a 4' cheater for a couple of cranks after I can't get them any tighter with a breaker bar.

What diameter are the bolts?

could try blue locktite... I was having some probs with random bolts working their way out, even with proper tq. tighten it back up to spec or just grab a breaker bar and crank it down nice and tight, and if it works loose again loctite it.

May not be the nuts backing off. Could be u-bolts or spring plates bending.:smokin:

Make sure you havent turned your U bolt plates.

Or just put two nuts on each one if there is room. One to hold the u bolt on, then another nut to hold that one from turning. If you tighten them together they hold eachother tight.

and, it seems like my front axle is walking away from my truck........ like folding under toward the rear and its making my springs go like an s shape. i figure maybe cause shitty center pins and i should be using Steel 3 or 6 degree shims rather than the aluminum 6 degree shims. but i think i would be fine using 6 degree shims again with no lift block or anything? or is it part of my problem? ive collected parts to make an anti wrap bar now too so that should help

NOTICE: in your last posting "intheworks" you stated you are using alum shims. this is very very bad replace with steel (only), the softer metals shift, move around, bend, swish, and snap into parts, and will destroy other parts of the mounting for your springs.

replace the shims with steel first, then using new u-bolts and using new u-bolt nuts (long ones) tighten them up and you will not have anymore problems.
