jeep at one of the mining camps- there are so many around- all of them are open to exploring. the only ones I won't go into are the ones that go straight down- only because I was alone and the are deep.

One of the roads up to one of the mines- I found lots of good 4x4 trails this time- explored many of the side roads and small trails- there are some pretty good climbs and descents- very rockey -very steep, some of the places have awesome views-

this is one of the old cabins- next to it is a mine entrance-

This cabin is on top of a big mountain- has cables that holds it down due to high winds. this cabin is open to stay in- the inside looks much nicer than the outside- although it is not perfect- you bring your own bed roll and use the box sping- these cabins are maintained by regular people- the blm pays for the material and you can write off the gas for a tax ded.

Into a mine, you have to crawl the first 6 feet and then you can walk. there are mines all over the place- some of them are short- some seem to go for miles, passages all different directions- tools inside, mining cars. some of them are very extensive, working around under the mountains.

that is our back yard........ there is a lot more of that and other trails besides dirt roads to drive on.

Was on lots of roads- trails- 2nd time up there only- I just keep looking- don't see many others up there- I did see a bunch of SUV's up there- stockers that didn't look like they belonged there, all of them were clean! I'd love to hit the good areas.

Yeah- I was alone- no other rigs-
There are those days when I want to hit the trails and everone else is lazy- that don't stop me. I get the itch- I go wheelin :)
