I have a dana 30 front axle on my 1970 EB and I was wondering if there were any cheap and easy ways to beef them up because I dont think that I wanna replace it yet.

Thanks

No.
Don't waste a dime on the EB 30. Just drive it and start saving your money for a 44 or HP 60.

OTOH, if you just want to mildly wheel it and drive to work, with nothing over a 33" tire it might just last forever.

I'm not sure but you might be able to fit 44 axles in it. That may be something you might want to consider. That way if you can find a 44 without axles you can still use them so the money is not wasted. I know the smaller u-joint 44 stub shafts work in a 30 (their both 19 spline) but I'm not sure of the inner spline count on a 30

inner axles are not interchangable. the dana-30 is courser(sp?).

newer dana 30s are 27 spline inner and outer. you can get some beefy new shafts with 297 ish u-joints from superior. but you really should just drop in a 44, it would be much cheaper in the long run if you are going to do any real wheeling.

like the man said above, if you are going to stay on 33s and mildly wheel, you will be just fine.
