Anybody know of a good way to get one of the chassis to Dallas area?? I called Hendrix today and they said like $600 bucks! That is nearly as much as the chassis. I guess I could call the place in Nashville and see what they say. I would like to have one....not to compete in but it is just a good foundation for a buggy.

Can you wait a bit? You may be able to convice a socal guy to bring one to nationals in Boyd.

Yeah, I can wait some. I am not dead set on it yet, but the truck I just bought to build up is pretty hacked up and my only other options are swapping the 22RE/W56/dual cases into an 83 model or building my own buggy. I dont have a bender yet so there is half my Ftoy right there. Thanks man, any other ideas??

Not sure which Boyd, TX that is cause Mapquest showed two. One over NW of Ft Worth and one NE Dallas. Whichever one it is is not far for me. What is the lead time for a chassis?

Or you could get one out of Memphis in 3-4 weeks.

It cost me $300 to ship mine from Apple Valley to Sacramento. If you buy mine and I can find a vehicle to ship to Dallas and another one back I'll charge $300 to get it to you. Not going to have time to build mine until winter so it's sitting here ready to go. It's in the for sale section Ftoy#70. Time frame to Dallas would be 2-4 weeks to work on a load there and back to CA.

Glen, not a problem. I don't normally go that way. I paid 1700 for my chassis and 300 for shipping for 400 miles. You've got 1700 miles so the 600 looks like a good deal. Good luck.

Just have john build you one in Memphis and drive over and pick it up. That is what I did and I live alot further than you. From Dallas you can make the trip in a weekend. Also I didn't even have to pull my trailer it fits in the back of my 1 ton dodge truck. Beats the hell out of $600 for shipping.
