IVE POSTED THIS ??? ON GEN 4X4 WITH ONLY 1 REPLY. IT DIDNT ANSWER THE ?? CAN YOU USE A 80's CAMARO STEERING BOX ON A D/60/F ??? HAS ANYONE USED THIS SETUP ?? WILL THE SHORT THROW OF THIS BOX WORK ON D/60?? IVE GOT A 86 CJ-7 W/D/60/F. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS!!

cant you change the throw by having a different length pitman arm. or are you talking about the range the sector shaft turns stop to stop.

Most likely you haven't gotten any responses because nobody's ever thought to try this... Camaro parts are rarely an topic of brisk discourse in the 4x4 world.

Give it a try and report back.

I used a Camaro box on my CJ. It was a quick variable ratio box that bolted on.

Throw is dependant on the pitman arm. The sector shaft still has the same amount of rotation, it just happens quicker.
