ok i have a 76 scout with a 345, rebuilt heads about 2k miles ago all bb chevy parts, mid lvl cam, hei dizzy, and 4 barrel. it ran perfect in october, so i deceided to start it this week, it starts fine but as soon as i hit the gas it boggs down and either dies or backfires through carb. i have changed carbs out with extra i had and also changed out fuel pump and removed exhaust just in case wasps or something didnt plug it, but still a no go. what throws me off is that if fires right up dont even have to touch the gas, idels perfect but go:confused:
any input would be appreciated

Bad ignition module is the next part I'd replace. Seen them go bad before on the HEI distributors.
