If you don't wanna read chit-chat, HIT YOUR BACK BUTTON NOW!

I'm back from NM and I totally scored on caddy parts!!

950 heads, match ported, double springs, pedestal rocker assy, Oversized stainless steel swirl polished valves (unshrouded), milled .030.

High-lift cam, need to call the manufacturer to get the specs (it may be more than I want).

Aluminum intake also match ported.

Cro-mo head stud kit, and Arp rod bolts.

Eldorado 8-Quart oil pan w/pick-up tube.

New oil pump

New fuel pump

New water pump

New Push rod set. Only 1/8 mile on them

Turned down the adj pushrod set, since two were totally eat'n up, and I heard that adj pushrods have a tendancy to bend.

New Hyd lifter set. only 1/8 mile on them anyway

Had the chance to get a NEW set of 8cc dish pistons for $50.00 (reg. about $400) but turned them down since I think mine are FINE.

New set of rapid fire plugs

Plus all the nuts and bolts for the entire block.

It figures out to about $1,300.00 worth of parts got it all for free.

Yeah I think I SCORED!!!

all I need now is to check out my block get a gasket set, rings, bearings, and block plug set.

Too bad I don't have a tranny and x-fer to go with it all. I guess I could get a tranny adapter plate and flywheel adapter for my TH350/NP205 set-up I still have.

Hmmmm.....the wheels are turnin. BUT I have to make sure my truck gets and stays runnin, until me and the family move to wherever where moving too.

Oh and a timing chain with a 3-keyway crank gear. I think I'll just get a new reg. timing chain though since I don't really know the cond. of this one.

hey cliffy, there's a th400 and t case adapter at the yard under a wagonner. it has a 350 in it, i believe it's the same bell housing pattern as the caddy engine and your dana 20 should bolt right up. call me if your intrested, i think we could trade em your th350 for the setup.

Uh yeah, I'm interested, I won't trade my engine, but I'd trade the TH350/NP205 for it if it looks good.

It'd have to be a buick 350, you said there's a X-fer case adapter, but is the case there??

Anyone know if MY D20 would bolt up??

yes, the Heep D20 in that case were the same as the IH D20's.....

so yes, your Scout D20 will bolt right up.

Not sure on the out-put spline count.... but you *may* be able to bolt a D300 (Scout) there as well.....

Thanks for the info, I was under the impression that the Heep and the IH D20's had a different bolt patterns?

This is good to know, thanks.

As far as I know (always subject to change :D), Jeep and OH DANA 20's have the same "Texas" bolt pattern, its the Dana 300's that differ. The IH uses the "Texas" pattern, Jeep went to the "round" pattern.

IIRC, Ford D20's used the same (or simular) Round pattern....

I'm gonna go down to CO this sat to see if I can swap that TH400/D20 for my TH350/NP205 set-up.

This will be nice, so that when I get my caddy engine rebuilt I have a drivetrain to use right away.
