I did a couple searches, sorry .. didn't find what I needed.

I'm looking for a detailed writeup on SAS options for an 86 Bronco. I'd like to junk the TTB, and I heard that there's a nearly painless swap you can do from a certain year F150 where all you have to do is grab the coil buckets, arms, etc and they all bolt up. Not sure if thats true or not, so I thought I'd check with the experts. Also, can you do that with anything bigger than a D44 so I could run something bigger than 36"s?

Thanks in advance!

you can pretty much bolt in a front axle from a 78-79 ford f-150. Dana 60's are alot more complicated.

Try www.fullsizebronco.com and click on their sas write-ups forum.

It sounds like the swap is one of the easiest swaps you could do for most rigs out there .. could easily do it in a weekend with all the parts, grinder and welder.
So .. now I just need to find someone that can help me :)

true, but the 4" extended radius arm rancho lift for our TTBs moves the mount exactly 12" back... so, the rancho arms and the factory 78-79 arms are the same length... id assume move the mount 12" back from factory... or put heims on it and make your own mounts...
