I did a search, and none of them really answered my question. So here it is. I have a lockrite, in the front of my Dana 60. And a couple of months ago I broke one of the 4 little pins that hold the locker together our whatever. So, I re-placed the pin in it, and now when I am going down the trail, and a make a sharp right turn, I get a big pop, the sounds like it is coming from hub, but it is coming from the locker inside. What I cant get, is that it will only do it turning sharp right, and going slower. Last saturday, I heard it one time, I was going up a gravel hill, getting on it, and I made a sharp right turn, and it threw 3 very big pops out. I know it is not the clearance inside, because I put all new thrust washers in the carrier, and a new harden pin. I was just wondering if anyone's else does this, and works fine?

Okay, I’ll throw my $.02 in. Have you checked your hub or are you just assuming it’s your locker? I am asking cause you said it’s not but did not mention if you checked it. Also, did you happen to check the other pins while you were poking around in there? :D

Yah, I checked the hub, it is all good... And I re-placed all the pins with the new ones they sent. I was also thinking it was the hub, and that was one of the first things I checked. It was not doing any of this till the pin broke. And it was only 1 that broke.

Sounds like your lock right is finished. They will pop like that when the teeth become rounded on the coupler gears inside..They pop loud because they "disengage" since the teeth slide over one another instead of staying locked together.Pull it out and examine the teeth on the side gear and coupler gear.If the edges of the teeth are in the least bit rounded it is finished..Maybe it is still under warranty? Good Luck.:D

That is pretty much what everyone else has said, that I have talked too... My plan is OneTonWIlly's is to spool the front which is a Dana 60 and do a Hydro Assist set up on it. How do you think that would work? In terms of being able to control the thing? We have mostly mud up here if that helps:D

I think it sounds fine as far as the spool goes as long as you have the full hydro steering set-up.. have you thought of welding the carrier up? It is a lot cheaper than a spool and if done right will last and be very strong..Just a thought.:D
