i've got a 76' cj-7 with a saginaw steering box, I bought it new about 9 mounths ago and even when I bought it it did this.
Anyway the problem is that the splined shaft coming out of the bottom of the box wobbles side to side makeing it very hard to keep it strait on the street. Now please don't post unless your going to try to help, I know now that many of you guys don't.:flipoff2:

That shaft out the bottom is called the "sector shaft". If the box is still in
warranty, take it back for an exchange or refund. You should get NO side-side
play in it at all.

thanks for telling me what it is called so I don't sound like such a fool, And I'll chack and see if it's still under warranty.
