Thanks man, I did the math and the cost to buy a good bender and all the right tools plus the metal was way over the cost I got the tube chassis for. Plus this chassis design is being used in the formula toy series for rock crawling and is holding up pretty well. I have access to a friends bender for the little things I need to make my own improvements to the chassis. Should be pretty fun when all is said and done.

My best friend came to the same conclusion. Originally he got the formula chassis to actually run in the formula class. Then changed his mind for a K5, he's a fan of the skinny pedal so a fullsize suits him better. Look forward to see how this build plays out.

The main chassis is a Hendrix Motorsports X-Chassis he uses 1 3/4 .120, Im using the same size tubing for the supports and other structures, some square 1 3/4 .120 in there as well.

No shit, eh? :flipoff2:

I think you need to tack that canopy on. It would be like a bimini top only more functional. What's that chain for going around the axle down to the ground?
