It's a nice chair but I don't think it's that big.
If it was in front of a 65" TV it would look small too.

Friday I started looking for a 95ish 4runner or Yota pickup for my daily driver duties. With a baby on the way we are going to get rid of her 2 door, she's going to take my car and I'm going to get a beater for my 1.5 mile commute to work. It's kind of sad that all the Yota's I find are about the same price for the same truck that I was seeing about 8 years ago when I was looking for one. Why does everything I want have to have a high resale value. If I can't find one for cheap enough I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger on a new tow rig. If I can't find a Yota I like for about 6k I'm going to go ahead and spend 30+ on a new truck. :shaking: Make's sense to me.

Saturday I cleaned and organized the basement and cleaned up some parts for ebay and boxed up some other ones that end tomorrow.

Today I've been grinding off spring perches on my 14 bolt, grinding the new perches and brake brackets to fit my bigger tubes and cleaning all the paint off it so I can repaint it. I might start my wire diet tonight for my TBI.

Not much Scout progress but it's moving forward now at least. I'd like to get the 14 bolt under it sometime this week since I won't have any free time next weekend while I'm playing Army.

Picked up these for my street Scout.

http://www.tmcom.com/~tsm1/gallery2/d/33186-1/DCP_0021.JPG

But when the impact wouldn't budge the original balljoint sleeves, I started to get creative.

This time, it involved the porta-power and some chain rigged to the 1/2" drive ratchet to keep the little spanner socket down into the sleeve while I put a 5' cheater on it.

Tomorrow I'm going to pick up another socket, and then see what kind of damage I can do with the acetelyne torch..

Checked the valving - 0.008/.010 - and rebuilt the SAWs..

I guess I'll charge 'em with N2 and see if they leak before doing much else with 'em - but finally got them rebuilt and the bent shaft replaced.

On a positive note, I thought I fried either the starter or the Ford solenoid over Memorial Weekend while in Wyoming - but it still turns over, so woo-hoo. Need to charge up the battery, offload the racer, and then replace the entire flippin' fuel system.. took 4 out of 5 after driving 300 miles thanks to what is probably a cracked fuel line that kept me to an idle for anything other than a quick burst. :( :mad3:

Oh yeah.. put up the swingset for my daughter on Saturday.

edit: that would be the "official" swingset, in addition to the swing I already mounted in the shop..

Left Thursday at noon and spent the weekend at the coast. Just goofed off all weekend, rode bikes around the camp ground, ran up and down the dunes, drove up and down the dunes and a couple of killer games of teather ball!!:grinpimp::flipoff2:. Did have one little hickup, I jumped in the Scout to start it up and there was nothing. Battery was completely dead, so got to workin' on it and tracked it down to the starter taking a crap on me. The same starter I payed 200 bucks to have rebuilt less then a year ago:mad3::mad3: Ended up pull starting the Scout with my roomates Cummins and not turning it off until I got home 4 hours later. I'll be pulling it off and taking it back to the shop tomorrow morning. :mad3::mad3:

We'll see if I can get some pics up later.

That's all I did this weekend. Getting shit ready for our deployment next year.

Today I'm gonna start hauling shit to the storage for another move we have to make. I'm getting sick of changing addresses.

Not sure. It looks like it's just the front seal that went bad so I could just repair it but I was planning to replace that trans soon anyhow. Being that this is not the planned time, time will be a factor to determine how much I do.

Guard Drill this weekend. So not much but I did manage to fawk up my truck bed. I was moving the 5th Wheel and it popped off the hitch some how and wiped out my bed rails and the stinger groved my bed, GEICO here I come.

Sunday after work I welded in a new front and pans into my Boss's 69 Beetle that he is restoring. I think he like my Paker plasma cutter :smokin: I couldnt get it away from him and he was looking around for more stuff to cut.

I took the starter back to the company who rebuilt it and told them what happened. They tested the starter and much to my surprise it came back fine! While looking things over after I found it, I had found a loose engine ground and figured that was it. So, home I went, tightened up the ground and reinstalled the starter. Fortunatly on the diesel it takes about 5 minutes to pull and another 5 to reinstall, so no big deal. Tried the truck again, and no go. Finally put a volt meter on the battery and it was sitting at almost 13 volts. As soon as I tried to start the engine it dropped to 1, same thing when I turned the lights on. So, I pulled the battery and took it in to have it checked. It had a great 100% charge of 12.81 volts, with a grand total of 9 Cold Cranking Amps. Bougtht a new battery and all is right with the Scout.:grinpimp:

Got a few pics from my buddy's wife, nothing too hardcore, but a nice poser shot of my Diesel with my roomate's Cummins. This was right after we wheeled about 5 miles over the dunes and out to the beach.

Working way to much, it's Wed?. Damm now I can't remember what I did 3 days ago:shaking:
I did replaced my engine a few weeks back and figured out the tranny linkage adjustment. Drove it up and down the freeway and figured out I have little oil pressure at idle when hot:mad3: Like 4 psi :barf: Dropped the pan and it looked fine, put on my truck pan with the new oil pump and filled it up with some 60wt racing oil. Bitch better have some oil pressure when hot. It's prime time wheeling season and pulling the motor to replace cam bearings it not what I had planned. The good new is the engine runs great:)

The artist is Chris Fox, he's from Sheboygan Wisconsin. He's been selling them on Ebay. He hasn't advertised them in awhile. He did acquire copywrite approval, they now say Scout mechanic.

Don't get your panties in a wad. The original t-shirt ~ the one I have ~ says "Scout II" not "Binder" ~ when he did that, John @ SSS threatened to sew him..so he made the binder shirt.

Since John decided to let him use the Scout II logo so they're back on the shirt.

As for a 80/800 t-shirt ~ He's making one. He hand draws stuff which takes a while. Unfortunately the t-shirts haven't been selling very well so he's gotten a bit discouraged.
