what do you guys think..

The front 1/2 is already in the jeep. But i need to add onto the rear end to accomodate keeping the baby safe. Think it'll work?

pretty good design.

although:

i would make the rear bars come up higher so if you roll their heads won't get run over.

lol... hes only 4 months old right now... infant seat will be mounted ( yet undesigned) to the cage at floor level in the center directly behind the center console.

And there is no way in hell he's going to be in the jeep if it looks like it'll be roll-over situation.

Kids grow and I'm sure you have friends bigger then your 4 month old. It wouldnt take much to get some head room and a fullsize seat back there, the rest of the design seems really solid.

Good attitude on moving little one out if it looks hairy. Watched a guy in a mostly stock CJ5 almost flop it on it side with his 5 year old in the front seat, to her side. Not good. :(

The image shows the spare on top of that back cage??! You going to put the little guy under the tire? Please say it ain't so. To young for that kind of torture. :D

I kind of like what Sillyneck has done on the back of his rig. Lots of pix of it on this board.

(Wish I could type, dam it!) Too much

I would do the rear level with the B-pillar hoop to give crush space to the rear. I wheel with a little one. From experiance, You need to make sure you can provide some shade for the tike. Kids that young got some thin skin that will torch in the sun in a very short period of time.
Car seats have no air circulation from the back, no big deal in an air conditioned car but in a truck on the trail where your not getting the air moving real good you might want to look at trying to swiss cheese the seat for some air flow on the tike. Just be carefull not to hurt the integrity of the seat. Look at providing some inuslation between the floor and the kid. I know the exhaust and tranny heat my floors pretty good.
