yes, I think ashcroft sells one and theres been a few others too.

It bolts onto the pto output like old toyotas, and jeeps with dana 18's, not between the transmission and t-case like the stuff you see in the other formus on this website.

Of course if you do the big diesel engine, you'll never need it.

My 1st-low combo is only ever used to show people just how slow it is.

Great unit...pricey, but worth it indeed...

Here's a pic of mine installed (the cab is lifted here for other purposes):

Note that with a torquey deisel & an auto, you can "get away" with not having the 2.69 extra crawl, but sometimes you need it...

Enjoy...

Or you could just get under drive gears from Great basin Rovers. they range from 20 percent under dive to 50 percent and are only about 1700.00 bucks.........

True...1700$ for two choices, or 2,800$ for three choices...I went the latter

+ if you change the 1.22 High ration that Disco LT230s come in with the 1.6 on certain Defenders, you get 4 ratios:

Ratio, LT/Asch
1.6 High/High
3.2 low/high
4.3 high/low
8.6 low/low

Not bad, no?
