Here's some pics.

And the rundown...

Original 1983 127 front axle, sewer capped, 24 spline ARB, Maxi-drive 24
spline inner axle, original old-style 110 CV's, LHD RR ABS knuckles,
original spindles, late SIII hubs w/adapter ring to RR vented rotors, SIII
24 spline freewheeling hubs, armored personnel carrier calipers (110
Salisbury front's), h.d. tie-rod, 3:54 gearing, 110 caliper front brake
pads.

Cost: $2740-ish...

Anyway, just thought some of the guys would want to see what we did over the
past few months with the front end for the 145. Tuesday afternoon it goes
to the bodybuilder for the rear utility box to be built.

Did you get custom gold calipers so when they show through your pimpin 20" chrome rims it'll match the rest of the premier "gold package" :flipoff2:

BTW tighten the bolts on the front radius arms. :D

those front radius bolts are actually 3/4 scale cardboard replicas that mike and timm have been working on extensively to improve flex and replcaement costs. By the way Mike your gold calipers are pretty!!!!

Thanks guys,

It's not as sexy as RockRover's axles (or that cute red thing the FedEx truck dropped off), but it'll do.

The cool thing is I figure I'll really run the 145 in 2wd about 85% of the time, so the ARB, axles, CV's, etc. should last a good long time. That and the part-time LT-230 should mean the front driveline should also last quite a while.

Jeff: Timm recommends leaving radius arm bolts loose for added articulation. I do what I'm told.

Thanks for posting the pics Way. I should send a shot of the rear brakes to throw on this thread as well.

Later,

Michael

Hee hee hee....I sure wish that cute red thing was mine...That's one of the reasons I'm wrenching in the dirt...Gotta' make room for the pricy stuff.

Nice work...Once again. You guy's are the kings (queen's?) of clean fabrication. I kneel before you both! :emb:
