Hey people looking to up the ante on my sami. I am going to toy axles. As it stands know I have stock wranglers sprung over with missing links. I cant decide if I just want to run 33 boggers on 10 wide rims and keep the lift the same or add some lift springs and run 35x16 boggers on some 12wide rims. I have a grs1 and will be using 5.29. Thought about v6 or toy motor swap a decided not too. So let me know what you guys think. By the way I'm in floridia with lots of sand and mud with hill sides to climb. My club makes a trip to Mount Eagle Tenn every year. But other then that it is just plain old fun.

I run stock Yj's with 33x14 Boggs with 5.29's and a 4/1. It works, however in the sand it's lacking. The 1.3L just doesn't have enough.

Hey thanks fatty. Do any of you guys think the extra lift is worth it to run the 35s?

shit man I run 35's,I puta set of 33'2 on the other day and went crawling through a ditch that I do all the time with my 35's and I felt like I was gonna roll.the wide 35x15.5 TSL Swampers give me such a wide foot print that I feel very secure, sand is great when I let them down to 5 psi(which with the light weight sami you cant really tell by looking at the tires.I also am running stock motor,grs1,toy axles with 5.29's locked up front and rear,yj's and missing links so I guess that our trucks are very similar except I have the 35's and I live in florida as do you.I love em.But I also have a body lift on the truck,With stock yjs and a 3" body lift and sawzalling the front and rear of the fender well I still get into the metal a bit sometimes,I have thought though of taking the body lift out and using some 4"YJ OME springs, heard they are great.Any way I was going to pull the body lift but all my bumpers and nerf bars are welded as is my rear shock mounts which I would have to cut out most of my rear deck where I have some boxes built out of aluminum.Any way I am going to keep the body lift for now.GO with the 35's but boggers are going to do just that"bog" yer shit down in sand, even in lo you are not getting the wheel speed to move the sand fast enough, unles you just bag them like me and float across

For your application, I.E. sand & mud, I would not neccessarily recommend the Toyota axles unless you are breaking parts. I would keep your driveline as light as possible to help keep you on top of the sand and mud. I would choose a light tire & wheel package as well, as this will soak up precious power from your 1.3L.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm already breakin stuff with the 31 now. It might have something to do with 8 grand and hole that 44 could not make it through.:rasta: Actually made a few that way. I want the toy axles for the extra width got to get those damm tires off the springs. As far as snickering I'm just a simple little old redneck and i got your snicker right here.:flipoff2:

Thanks for the hope guys, yeah even you.

Hey Jim ome only come in 2.5in which i guess would give you about 4 on a sammy, duh. But i been hearing bad things about them at being to soft and sagging early on. I looked into them but if i do mine it will be Rubicon Express Extreme 2.5 talkom about quality stuff. I kind of in the same boat as you but opposite. I have custom bumper and rockers so no body lift for me. Good luck to you.

Are you refering to RE YJ SPOA springs?

I hear they don't flex worth a damn on a YJ. On a Sam they might as well be 2" square tube bolted between the spring mounts. (speculation)

8's for the 14" wide and 10's for the 16" wide, I have the 12's on 16/35, air down below 8psi and you are asking the tire to fall off:D I'm beadlocking them so I can go 2psi in the snow and 4 on the con.

friend of mine has em on his yj, siff as hell early, then they get pretty soft, also sag back to about 1 inch lift.

I called about them. They are the 3" arch springs with the eyes bent down instead of up, so they have a lot of arch which of course is not a good thing. Anyone know anything about the YJ OME's?
