: Is the 6 cylinder Wrangler motor identical to the Grand Cherokee 6? 500 HORS 06-03-2002, 06:54 PM Sister in law just cooked her 1993 G. Chickoree engine - 160K miles. Need to rebuild or swap somehtin with lower miles in it. Dont want to do the V-8 thing. What range (in model years and make) will bolt in? thnx. Mudjocky 06-04-2002, 10:06 AM I believe the ZJ motors have a heavier casting to make the 4.0 quieter, the XJ and the YJ/TJ motors are basically the same except for the water pump outlets and such. The air intake is different too...that shouldn't be a problem though. You should be able to reuse that. | |
