: Mustard Dogs Trail Rig
Mustard Dog 06-03-2002, 08:18 PM Well now that I'm pretty much done with the build up, I'll go ahead and post some pics;)
Rustycruiser pretty much got this thread started:D
Here is the basic crappy driveway shot;)
Mustard Dog 06-03-2002, 08:21 PM The bumper and grill guard were made by Tin Bender and fatkid. They also did the rear, and added to the basic cage kit I had ;)
Mustard Dog 06-03-2002, 08:26 PM This shows the cut in the wheel wells to help cooling, it works pretty good too:D Both sides are the same.
Mustard Dog 06-03-2002, 08:30 PM Basic view of the engine bay;)
Mustard Dog 06-03-2002, 08:32 PM Heres the right side dash:D
Mustard Dog 06-03-2002, 08:34 PM Left side:)
Mustard Dog 06-03-2002, 08:35 PM Alittle better pic of the front;)
Mustard Dog 06-03-2002, 08:37 PM Back of seats and cage:D
Mustard Dog 06-03-2002, 08:39 PM Detail of where the door bar comes together.
Mustard Dog 06-03-2002, 08:40 PM The cooler rack:beer:
calfj60 06-03-2002, 08:42 PM Hey Eric, The truck loks great, a whole lot better than the last time I saw pics of it. Glad yo finally posted some pics of it. later
rustycruiser 06-03-2002, 08:44 PM Thanks MD. Thats what I was looking for. :D Are you running any protection underneath the rockers?

Yep, they're made by EPOCHS in Co. Very stout yet a low profile....I'll try to find a detailed pic;)

Think they'd make one for me?? I like that. Kind of what I had in mind for my rig!!
Great shots of the rig all the way around. I like that cooler rack too. I just got me a new steel Coleman for my 40!! :D
orangefj45 06-03-2002, 09:02 PM looks like a pretty crappy driveway alright!:flipoff2: :D

Actnjacksn 06-03-2002, 10:29 PM I second what MD11Fr8Dog said, that is a sweet bumper/grill guard. If you find out a price or if they will make some more let me know, I might be interested in one for my rig. Nice lookin rig Mustard Dog...are those 36's?

My sister in law makes stickers, so I had her copy the font and bust one out;)
I'm aware of the reason PBB stickers are no longer availible, but I'm a pretty responsible wheeler. You wont be seeing me out tearing up some soggy, pristine meadow while flying that sticker :D
Mustard Dog 06-04-2002, 01:40 PM You can see the rock slider in this pic;)
Mustard Dog 06-04-2002, 03:14 PM Now that you guys saw the trail rig, here's the daily driver:D
Mustard Dog 06-04-2002, 03:19 PM It's an 82, og paint, no rust, no dents, hardtop has never been removed, nothing has ever been drilled or cut out of the body:D OG motor(over 200,000.....compression is still perfect), factory P/S, and it just had it's first clutch job;)
It's a FULL AWN mall cruiser, all the way down to the Thornbirds:flipoff2:
BJ On Roids 06-04-2002, 03:38 PM i love the yellow one!! NICE
Shawn 06-04-2002, 05:24 PM I like your licence plate:smokin:
FIXXXXAH 06-04-2002, 05:45 PM AND a perfect DD!! I love you and hate you at the same time...:flipoff2:
The trail rig looks tight man, digging all the tubing work....
Lookin good!
Matt:smokin:
Berzerker 06-04-2002, 09:27 PM Gee I don't know whats prettier, your Land Cruiser or Gena :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Excellent!! Hours at the shop? Normal work day??
One question, is there room for a Warn 8274 to fit behind that grill guard??
Thanks:beer:

Normal work hours, and then some;)
As far as the winch goes, they can make it fit pretty much anything. We made that one while the winch was already there;)

Hmmm, I wonder if I should wait until I get my stuff back together with the winch mounted, or any chance that measurements can be made taking into account an 8274? Someone close by has to have one!
Think its worth having it shipped to CO, or should I just get a local guy to do my stuff while "stealing" the design idea??;)

While the Mustard Dog (the cruiser.. not the person) & Ketchup Dog are purdy... i think Gena has a nicer smile!;)
Donald Butcher 06-05-2002, 01:15 PM that mustard yellow is really growing on me! both of your cruisers are bad ass! I now realize that I need a DD and a trail rig also!

So the Pirates say that they aren't giving out stickers anymore, but you decided that it doesn't apply to you? Pretty fucking disrespectful.

I went ahead and made one cause I'd like to promote the site. That and I'm im not one of these jackasses that's gonna do something on the trail or off that will make the site look bad.

There is a HUGE difference between the POR stickers (club members only) and a Pirate4x4.com sticker. I think that's up to Lance to decide wether or not Mustard Dog is out of line. I for one will stand up for MD, he's a good guy and definitely wouldn't do anything to direspect the site, Pirates as a club or wheelers in general. Before you decide to fire on someone, you need to take a minute to find out what sort of fellow he is.;) The reason that the stickers got pulled was because the civilians were assuming that if you had a sticker you were in the club, not true. This IMHO is no different than putting a Interco sticker or Detroit locker sticker on your rig. If you have a problem take it up with Lance.:D
BJ On Roids 06-06-2002, 04:47 PM stupid newbie question here but what does etz gepz mean??

EATS JEEPS! :D
orangefj45 06-06-2002, 09:37 PM i'm gonna have to agree with sloan 100%.
and bj: to you aussies that would be eats jeeps or utes or whatever you bloaks call those damn things!
now post some pics of your rig already!:D
dog walker 06-06-2002, 10:19 PM I really don't wanna get into this on this forum, so I'll keep it simple.
Lance does not make up the rules. Pirates of the Rubicon own the rights to the domain. Lance is the web master. The whole club including Lance make up the rules. The club pays for the website space and domain, and I write the checks.
Mustard Dog I'm sure is a great person, but that does not make it ok to start making your own stickers. I understand and appreciate you wanting to support the website, thats great!, but you and anyone else should ask us if you could have a sticker rather than doing it yourself. We kinda like to have the option of making that descission on our own. And you guys are wrong, we do still have stickers and hand them out on a regualer basis. We are just a bit more careful these days.
This is not a question of is Mustard Dog a good person or not, I already know he is. But by making your own stickers, it promotes others to do the same thing, and some of those others we may not want advertising for us. I hope this makes since to ya all, bare with me, I don't always speak my best with words.
Jeff
Sloan 06-06-2002, 11:48 PM Thanks for the clarification.:) I hope I wasn't out of line, just got kinda hot when I saw a bud gettin sandbagged.:D
Mustard Dog 06-07-2002, 06:39 AM Not a problem Dog Walker, I'll dump it this weekend;)
Now I'll just have to get her to make me a big TIN:skull:BENDER sticker. Sorry if I caused the Pirates (the club) a bunch of grief;)

Ahem, with a little help from the http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/images/elite.gif people!!:smokin:
I think you're right on with the rest of your stance though!!:D
dog walker 06-07-2002, 05:17 PM Ahem, with a little help from the people!!
False again! The star money goes directly to Lance for his hard work on running and designing this site, he can do whatever he wants with it. Advertising money goes to the POR account. (Pop ups!) and such.
Jeff
orangefj45 06-07-2002, 11:44 PM thanks for clearing all this up. most of us had no idea how you guys handle all this stuff, for lack of better words.:rasta:
