I was at work today(construction) and started looking at a petty bone. This thing sits on like 5' tires and is front and rear steer.Any way got to checking the axles out and they look perfect for a rig. They have CVs and said a ratio of 16.1.They are also round and smooth. Also said JCB Transmissions.Anyone know anything about these?Blazin:rasta:

I used to sell JCB equipment, and got a chance to visit the factory in England. They make all their own axles & cylinders. You oughta seem them butt weld cylinders with this big press. In fact, they make just about all the parts themselves.

Anyhoo, They would be great axles, but are heavy as shit. Can't remember if they turn out their own trannys (I think they do), but the engines are primarily Perkins. For more info on JCB, check out http://www.jcbna.com/ . You might find axles or older units at auctions or thru Hertz used equipment sales. FWIW, they are VERY tough machines, and consistently hung with the cats & cases of the world. HTH...
