cocco_78 07-08-2007, 12:59 PM This is my GF's truck we built... 88MJ, 4.0L, auto, 4.5" coils, SOA rear, 33" mt/r's, bobbed bed... For how simple it is it works really well, with a little coaching she makes shit look easy. And the old 4.0L has about 230,000 miles on it and runs strong, we recently put in some newer ford motorsports mustang 19lb injectors in it which really woke it up... She got the truck for $350 and I tought her the basic mechanics of it when we fixed it up to make a safe driver out of it... So she should be able to fix most of the usual trail carnage without much help.

I don't have any pics of the build it was done 5 years ago.
The front I used a RE xj bracket kit.
the rear I used mopar spring perches.
If I did the rear again I would us RE spring perches to help with axle wrap.
And on the front make sure you cut the Waggy front driverside spring perch off before putting on the brackets...

I think the TNT kit is better than the RE kit, I also have the RE kit on my waggy 44, but it was a bit of a pain to install.

Actually they work pretty good! Soft to drive in bumpy roads and they carry some weight too (I have to add 2" blocks for longer trips to keep ride height same, when there is all spare parts and camping gear in bed)
If i remember right..... i used 4.0 ZJ front springs.
Springs slide in those bump stop tubes, So they donīt limit suspension travel at all (fixed to the spring plate)

Getting ready to install my hp44 in the front and its getting an atlas as well.
Basics.. 4.7 stroker, D44 rear, D44 front(any day now) 35 goodyears, 1999 exterior and interior conversion. Basically a frameless off restoration 10k miles ago.

ddtoy90 06-26-2011, 10:57 AM Here is my project. Going to have a full size D44 front and 9 inch in the rear both with 5.13's. Will be doing radius arms with 1.25 inch ruffstuff heims in the front and staying leaf in the rear. Will eventually be on 36's or 37's but will probably use the new 35's I have for now until the funds come available to new tires.

Do you have 4/5 pt harnesses?
How did you tie them into the cage?
I'm planning on exo-ing mine and just running tabs off the X-brace into the cab.
I don't want any internal tubing since space is already limited.

Ashman will axe this but....
No 4/5 point harness. I have the stock bench in there and factory harness. If I were to add the 5 point harness, there is a 'ledge' at the bottom of the back wall I would have made a simple loop on.

Now it's got outboarded XJ springs and went from 3.73's(stall-athon!) to 4.56's.
