I'm looking at getting a ex municipal GM fleet truck. The truck will be either a 92 2500 with the 5.7 and 4L80E or a 98 3500 with the same setup. The rig will be a trail only truck running on 42s.

Now, I searched and found some real good info about mating a 205 to these transmissions. Seeing that I already have a Dodge D60 sitting in my shop, has anyone done this swap? I realize that there are some exhaust routing issues, but are there any other issues I should be aware of?

I know someone with a Ford D60, but would rather use an axle I already have.

Might have to check for driveshaft to tranny pan interference. Have heard of 700's/4L60E's having that problem. Could always leave the stock T Case and add a Dodge divorced 205:D

Any other suggestions out there? I think the stock case is an NP 241.
