I am tossong around the idea of running Range Rover running gear under my LWB Samurai. Ideally I would like to get the whole enchilada from the Rangie (diffs, control arms, springs etc) and then try and mimic angles and location for the geometry to remain relatively true. Are there ant problems/faults with Range Rover stuff or any other suggestions?
All flaming gratefully accepted

Actually I think it's a great idea for a Sami...A good friend of mine has tossed that idea around for a while now.
For anything over 3500lbs the stock LR stuff sucks balls...But for a light-weight rig it would be great....Good light-weight axle housings...Good clearance. Gearing choices suck though...And with a Sami motor you might be stuck there.

I have gearing sorted with a Rockhopper 4:1 transfer case, a toyota 5 speed gearbox with lower gearing. i am going to run 34" Swampers. What's the stock gearing for a Range Rover's diffs? is it different for auto manual?

3.54 stock for all. can get 4.11s or 4.75s but pretty expensive on this side of the pond but you might be able to get them cheaper where you are

You can run 4.7s out of a series truck. should be cheap to free.

Sounds like a plan although remember that you should get new axles (maxi drive or jac mac) when you get lockers cause the stock axles arnt the strongest and this will cost $$$
Also, depending on how much travel you want out of the front end you may not want to go with the stock rover radius arms either and go three link or something.
