Here's a newbie question for yawl...how the hell do you keep the damn tierod end from spinning when you try to tighten the nut?:rasta:

Its worn out, or the taper is worn. But here's a little trick I learned back in Nam, put a small bottle jack inbetween the tie rod and the frame (or somthing) just to apply pressure. Then it should stop spinning on ya. Somtimes if you're lucky, you can even use a C-clamp if you can keep it from popping off.

I just put a little rosin on it (the stuff they sell at sporting goods stores for pitchers).

I just use a big pair of channel locks to hold the tapper in tight in one hand and wrench in the other
