I was asking about a dial indicator a while back and I thought I would let everyone who cares know I bought a mag base with fine adjustment from:

It was $8.70 and works great (fine adjustment is key) I ended up with a like new Starett .0005 dial indicator off ebay for $15 (hehehehe) but JTS machinery has generic indicators for $8 too. So for like $17 you could have a good functioning set up.
Just a heads up to anyone wanting to do diff work themselves.
