I was wondering if anyone had any experience with wheel spacers, not what you think about them, but what you have heard or know from experience.
Thanks,

There a quite a few people running spacers on this board. I have them. I ran them on the rear of a narrow track cj dana 44 for a couple years with out problems (1.5" spacers). I just put 1/5" spacers all around on my ride now to go a little wider after going SOA.

Do a search (searching first may save you from being flamed...:D) on Wheel spacers and you'll get plenty of hits, you'll have to sift through them to figure out if any of them are what you are looking for...

Welcome NEWBIE!!:D

IMHO:

Wheel spacers are probably O.K. on larger axles with larger spindles and bearings as long as you don't get too crazy on tire diameter/weight, but I'd avoid them if you have a D30 up front (or even a 44 with the smaller bearings and external hubs).

If you do get them, check and grease your bearings often.

Oh, and :flipoff2: WELCOME NEWBIE!!! :flipoff2:

Welcome NEWBIE :flipoff2:

Your search results should provide you plenty of spacer info.

Personally I have 1.25" Spacers on my Scout II rear D44 so it matches teh width of my Waggy D44. So far i have had no problems with them. I bought mine from AIM. Good 5 lug spacers run about $50-60/ea Depending on thickness and # of studs prices go higher.

A little off topic, but NO :( Steering links are due to show up any day now. Once they are here, I'll have everything but the lockouts (they should be here today or tomorrow if Foothills shipped) and the front driveshaft. I will probably need to call Jess because of the front angles...to see what we can do.

I think by the end of the weekend, I should have everything but the front shaft squared away. Shocks, brakes, hubs, steering, etc. It will at least be driveable, get to see if it fits through the garage door! :D Assuming the POS water pump I replaced doesn't leak

I am thinking a run to Cophers in St. Pete may be in order soon. I believe I am going to have to ditch the jepp outer stuff and convert to internal lockouts using ford/chevy parts at some point.
Bigger outer shaft, bearings, stonger lockouts, etc.

Your hubs will be in today (they didn't have them in stock) and will ship this after noon or tomorrow. He will call you about freight and if he can't get a hold of you he'll just bill me and ship them anyway.
