I have seen all kinds of designs for sliders and have decided to go with tubing because I want a step to aid getting in and out of the vehicle. I have a 2 1/2" body lift so cutting the area below the door wells is out because the frame already shows big time.
So how do I mount the tube sliders? If I weld them to the frame they will have to have a big bend in them to come up to just below the body. If they have a bend in them will they be strong enough to use as jack points? Will they just bend up if I have to use them to slide over something? Any help and pics will be greatly appreciated. I know what the slider design I am going to use looks like, so I just need ideas and pics of how to mount them.

I welded scab plates to the frame then welded the 1 1/2 inch 0.120 wall HREW tube to the scab plates. I gusseted the tube with 1/4 inch plate triangles, although only one is in place when I took this picture.
