Well, that is what they call it here. There is One that the Stanislaus NF ownes, & that is what they call it. They got a 406? BIG ass mofo! also, but still use it to make roads, & has 500gal tank on the back....back to the minimog, I guess they have decommicioned (no I can't spell!) it, but can't sell it...for some reason. it is Small, like pickup size, & has..sorry for the description...but floater tractor tires....like what you see on a skidder.
I can't get close enough to it to get any real #'s off it, but it looks neat as hell!
I know my description suks, but any1 herd of em? & would it be worth fighting with the FS for it? As I am shure it would require an act of congress to get the thing.

Chedk out http://www.unimogwherehaus.com/trucks.html
It is probably a 421 or 411(just click on the model # for a pic).
A 421 looks like a small 406. But if it is pick-up size it is probably a 406.

I think it is a 421, but they kinda look different with the skinny tires. I know this one has a snow plow, & somewhere around the size of a toyota pu. it is tough to tell the size of em by the pictures.
I think the big one the FS has is the U2100...big somma bitch!
so, really is the little one worth what I know will be a super megga big ass hassle? Sorry, I don't have much exp. with unimogs....LOL ask me about a honda, & I'll tell ya all you need to know though ;)

hi i own two 411 minimogs it was given the name because it only has a wheel base of 67" even the long wheel base model i own has an didy 84"wb and is on 35"tall tyres
which if you want an idea how small they are a suzuki samurai has a longer wheel base
mine has a 1800cc diesel lump in with 6 forward gears and two reverce gears it also has a crawler box that can make it even slower than it already is(28mph down hill with a 404 pushing it)
the 421 are quite a bit bigger wheelbase wise (so that could be known as a midimog)
alot of the 411 were used as snowblowers or in the farming industry
if you go on youtube.com and type in minimog or cowm you will see mine offroading(it the one in red oxide primer)
