I did a search on this subject and found alot of info but not what I was looking for. My question is I have an 89 YJ with a stock dana 35 axle on it, and I am needing to know if it is a non c-clip or if it has a c-clip? How can I figure it out without pulling it a part. Thanks - Carl

Non.
I don't think they got the C-Clips until '90 or '91.
Just pull a wheel and a drum and you'll be able to see the square plate that retains the axle assembly behind all the brake shiat (if it's there.

you have a non c-clip version. if you need a non c-clip superior axle kit and 4.56 gears for a ridiculiously low price, give me a call. new stuff, never installed. ( although partailly put together )
