I have called about 2 dozen 'yards' around here (Michigan) and no one has any. My brother blew his up and they told him it would be about $700 - $1000 to rebuild it for him. I figured I could pick up a whole 10-bolt axle for a couple hundred to slap in there and he would be on the road. One guy at a 'boneyard' actually told me he could sell 5 a day if he had them. Are people actually buying 10-bolts to put in their rigs?? If so I pity them!!

Sounds like the Twilight Zone.............anywhere else you could buy them for a song..............have you tried posting on www.coloradok5.com in the for sale/wanted area? There has GOT to be a bunch of those axles waiting to be taken away.
Of course, it would be very inexpensive to put a 14 bolt under the rear (assume it is the rear you are talking about), only issue is wheels............tho they now have 15" rims that bolt on to 14BFF's.

kinda like that around here. Some places just don't have an abundance of 4x4 parts, especially GM stuff.

I have a pair of 10 bolts sitting in my back yard I would sell for $250 bucks there out of my 89 blazer and I never wheel the truck till the axels were changed there the 30 spline front shafts wich are the best ten bolt front axels gear ratio is 3.73

Thanks for the info guys. I bought all the parts to rebuild to whole center section for about $250, most off E-Bay. So I guess we are going that route.
I still can't believe people around here are buying up all the 10 bolts!!
i think the wreckers are selling them as scrap.
