Well im working on swapping toy8"s under my DD and shooting for 33s. Im fairly sure im going to have to lengthen the frame on the front so i can get the axle forward so the tire wont rub on the cab when the tires stuff. Anyway, i am looking for some advice and maybe close up pics of frames treated this way. Im not into booty fab BS So i figured the flaming from asking would be better than the flaming id get doing a hack job:flipoff2:
Anyway, thanks guys...

http://krazyk5.com/albums/aarons/100_1535.sized.jpg it all depends on the springs you use. we used rear trooper springs, they are short, soft and have an offset.
Well it all depends. I was thinking of using GM 1/2ton springs since i can get replacement bushings for em easy and i can get em for free basicly. If that dosnt pan out ill use another set of KB springs wich should be the same as troop springs...

using the above picture, you can grind the round bumper extensions off and then grind/cut the metal that wraps around the frame ends off, this will allow
................if I remember right 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 tubing to slide into the frame about 1 1/2" it will stop on the round crossmember, then plug weld and weld around frame etc.
I think I used a 3/16 or 1/4" pc of flat stock under the 2 1/2 inch pc to fill in the gap on the top/bottom for a more solid weld.

Just an option.

our trooper springs used chevy bushings, just to let you know.
ill see how the 52" chevies work in the mock-up stages. The longer springs should work a bit better and give me more lift. Still good to know that the troop spring took chevy bushings...
