the guy at the junkyard told me that from around 65-75 the NP435 were called independent. meaning that there was a driveshaft between the tranny and the tcase instead of just bolting together. i have been searching for a few days on here and have never seen that said by anyone. i have been to 5 junkyards and havent found an NP435 at any of them, are they usually this hard to find?? i am also looking for a D300, but nobody seems to have those either.

not all of them were "idependant", just the ones with the detatched t-cases, normally referd to as "divorced". and no.. usually (around here anyway) they are a dime a dozen. d300 on the other hand ... good luck
