99.9% of the time, I find what I need in searches. (3 years of shadowing this website and so few posts. However, this one is a little out there:

I am getting ready to order springs for a new rig I am building but need a few specs. What is the weight of a Chevy 4.3L vortec V6 W/ Auto tranny and d-s drop transfer case? (Total weight)

I would guess the engine to weigh around 640 if a Chevy block weighs 766 or so. What do you think the whole thing weighs with all the accessories and fluids?

And just for some background, I am dropping this into a nissan body, custom flat bed, D-60's, and alcan springs. Due to the fact the engine is coming a little later than expected and I need to get the springs rolling, (:mad3:4 week down time) I have to get info from you guys.

Thanks a lot.

I can back up the tranny will weigh 160lbs in full trim(tc, adapter, etc.) and the stock t-case runs about 80lbs. Those are empty weights though, with the oil fluid weight estimated at 8lb/gal add another 30lbs.
